Midterm Final

This is my final compilation of work for the midterm. I've slimmed the stroke of the wording on the spine per suggestions! After some friends' thoughts, I decided not to put a summary paragraph on the back because of the phrase on the front. This project went through so many phases and took a lot of work outside of class. I'm extremely pleased with how it turned out and would have no hesitation in publishing this!

Project - MidClass update

I fixed it up some more by

• Adding the spine 
• Making the colors more consistent 
• Adding a subtle morning star to the i in Witch 

End of Class Update

After talking with Bryan about my new book cover idea, we seem to both agree that this one is significantly better. He gave me a few pointers right at the end of class, so I've changed a few things to accommodate them! It's much better now

• Changed my font choice to something a little more crisp but less complex 
• Moved my text alignment so the y of Way is the circle of the i in Paradise 
• Changed my sun color to white 
• Gave the night and day sections their own distinct feather gradients (plum and mustard) 
• Darkened the opacity of the celtic knot so that it stands out more 

Mid Class Update

Part of my doing a book cover was to come up with a few different ideas before picking my final cover. This is my newest design and I think I've going to run with it. It's completely different than what I've been working on for the other cover, and it seems to be working better. 

End of Class Update

I've decided to change several things:

• Page size from letter to 6x9 which is a standard informational book size
• working title from Witchy Witch Help to Witch Way to Paradise? 
• Instead of using an image for the cover I'm using a celtic knot that I've drawn and manipulated
• Added a water mark to the back cover 
• Darkened the design aspects
• I've taken out the back paragraph so that I can add my summary next class!
